meeting was arranged to review the 3C project work and present the LCi Yellow Belt Certificate to each participant. In attendance wereTrevor McSharry,LCi Director and Capability Lead;Gary Coffey, HSQE Director with Coffey Construction as well as Niall Tuite of LBS who delivered the training.

Training Process Development In order to support the role out of the LCi course portfolio on a sustainable basis, a process for nominating and approving training providers as well as programme delivery and management was developed.This process utilises web-based forms and cloud-based data storage.Box Media is tasked with the operational management of the overall process. Several Lean Service Providers and trainers were consulted to seek feedback and ensure the process would work with all stakeholders.

Figure 3: Using a Simulation Exercise at LCiYellow Belt training Coffey are working with Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Sligo in the Development of their Lean Construction Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) due for release soon.ATU got funding to develop this MOOC in 2021 from the HEAHuman Capital Initiative. All Coffey Staff and subcontractor leads will be required to attend this training as part of their development and Coffey’s continued strategy to implement our Lean Strategy.

Figure 6: Trainer Approval and Delivery Process In relation to the overall LCi Course Portfolio operations, Figure 6 provides an overview of the key stages for trainer nomination, evaluation,delivery and continuous improvement.Below are further details on the steps: 1. Enquiry:The LCi course website has been updated to include all information needed by potential trainers and learners including an overview of belt content, trainer nomination and approval processes. 2. Trainer Nomination:Web based nomination forms for the LCiWhite andYellow Belts need to be completed for new trainers which are on the LCi course page. 3. Evaluation Approval: An LCi Trainer Evaluation Committee reviews and approves nominations. 4. Course Delivery: Once approved, the relevant information
